Description

The Department of Mental Health is coordinating the Community Volunteer Resources Training specific to Los Angeles County directly operated and DMH contractor personnel. The training will provide information regarding resources to assist consumers to access volunteer opportunities in the community. Included in the training are success stories and other information relevant to accessing volunteer opportunities. Representatives from several community organizations with volunteer opportunities and resources throughout Los Angeles County are scheduled to present.  Each presenter will discuss strategies for assisting consumers to access services, highlight program compliance requirements, identify available disability supports, and provide additional information relevant to resources.
